Extending contracts can lead to increased costs.

Fleets that have extended contract hire contrtacts last year could have set themselves up for extra costs. Higher maintenance and fuel costs caused be retaining older less efficient cars for longer is the initial point of concern. Increased accidental damage over fair wear and tear will be another area that should be checked.
