New Car prices are on the up.

The weakness of the pound against other currencies has meant that the UK motor retailers are having to reprice the current offerings. Almost every manufacturer has had to increase the retail prices by between 3% and 6%. However despite this news Mercedes have realigned the pricing of the new E Class due mid 2009, the new E Class which takes a lot of styling from the latest C Class is expected to drop the retail price by between 10 and 14%. The new E Class coupe which will see the end of CLK production is also expected to be cheaper than the model it is replacing. Whilst we will all be hit by the price increase as it affects hire, lease and taxation prices, we are still hopefull that we will see the increase in used car prices starting to help reduce Contract Hire prices.
