UK Carline's innovative carbon offset scheme is again shortlisted in this years Biba's awards. The best in business awards or BiBa's for short covers the whole of the north west area.
Hailed as the ‘one they all want to win’, the BIBAs 2010 are the most ambitious event of its kind and has attracted an exceptional level of entries from some of Lancashire’s top performing companies.
The competition started last September to find this year’s winners - and from a record number of entries totalling 927, one in ten applications have successfully reached the finals.
Chief Executive of the North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, Babs Murphy said “The calibre of entries this year was exceptionally high and everyone who entered deserves admiration. All 90 finalists have demonstrated to the judges, success, talent and inspiration. They are shining examples of what can be achieved in sometimes the most difficult circumstances by people with a real aspiration to improve their business and significantly contribute to the local economy.
The exciting culmination of the BIBAs will take place at the glittering awards ceremony on March 12th 2010 at the Globe theatre, Pleasure Beach, Blackpool when the winners will be announced.
